Leg ulcers won't heal?

I've been having problems with leg ulcers that won't heal for about 6 months now. I've had tests and bloodwork done and do not have diabetes. I've been to the gp and the specialist but the ulcers just keep getting bigger. I see the specialist again on Thursday for the second time. I hope he has some better ideas on what to do next. He's got me using bactroban and silver on the wounds and I am currently taking antibiotics and prednisone. I've been doing this for 2 weeks with little or no improvement. How long do these take to heal? Is it possible I will be ok for my wedding in November? Any sucesss stories out there to cheer me up? I feel like I'm never going to get better and its depressing.
