If they make it to dry land, they can stay. If caught still at sea they are sent back. Should we really be determining immigration based on the luck of the immigrant? Shouldn't we process them in a more logical manner? Or at least look at the merits of each entry? I obviously think its bad policy. What if we catch the guy who's escaping Cuba with the keys to the missles and the crazy would-be lunatic makes it to dry land ? Is this just organizational laziness on our governments part?
