What do Hindu's view is the beginning of the universe?

it says on my religious notes that yes there is a conflict because they believe that the big bang and evolution happened for a different reason. and no there is not because they believe in both theories? what does this mean PLS DONT GIVE ME A WHOLE PAGE mmmm maximum like 12 lines. pls explain what the @ above means
