My husband was bit by a coon .and the hospital refused his service what should we do ,?

he was bit by a raccoon, and the hospital said that he doenst need medical attention, but i think that he does what number should i call for advice i called the dispatch for the police and the police said that the k9 unit is not alllowed to pick up wild life animals ? i dont want my husband to have rabies what to do ?
